WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) is a privately controlled media and sports entertainment company focused on professional wrestling. The company used to be named WWF (World Wrestling Federation), but a lawsuit from the World Wildlife Fund forced it to change its name. Here we have a WWF Superstars 7 Dr Death 6 inch action figure. Steven Williams is better known by his ring name Dr. Death Steve Williams. He is a wrestler and former University of Oklahoma All-American football player. His nickname dates back to an incident in junior high where (in order to protect an injury) he had to wrestle in a hockey goalie mask and was jokingly labeled Dr. Death by one of his coaches. In 2004 Williams underwent surgery for throat cancer and was declared cancer-free the next year. Unfortunately the throat cancer eventually returned and Williams died on December 29 2009. He was 49 years old. Here Dr Death stands with his feet solidly planted ready for anything. He is wearing a wife-beater top and red spandex shorts with a skull-and-crossbones warning. Very collectible. This is a used figure in good condition. No packaging.
