Youngblood is a superhero created by writer/artist Rob Liefeld. It is a high-profile superteam sanctioned and overseen by the United States Government. The comic explores the theory that, if superheroes really did exist, they would be treated much the same way as movie stars and athletes. Throughout the comic, there are numerous references to endorsement deals, TV show appearances, agents, managers and the perceived pressures of celebrity life. Here we have a McFarlane Youngblood - Sentinel 6 inch figure. In the early 1980s, the US Goverment contracted Marcus Langston to design the prototype Sentinel Armor. The goverment was so impressed, they agreed to let Marcus keep it, if he continued to refine the suit. Sentinel's fusion powered, computer enhanced exo-skeleton gives him both increased strength and speed, as well as the power of flight. Sentinel is an African-American hero, who looks a lot like actor Wesley Snipes (as seen in the Blade movies), but with an eye-patch. Features: + Back-mounted missile launcher (really fires missile). + Flip-out shoulder armor for flight! + Chest plate opens to reveal cybernetic innards. A Classic! Now 15 years old. Packaged in a bubble with a blue 'lightning' backer card. Separating bubble has been re-attached with superglue.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD -- Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
Packaging may exhibit some minor shelfwear, such as bent corners, minor creases, dents, scratches, tears, etc...
